Welcome to Barn Owls!

Hello everyone! Welcome to Barn Owls. We have had a brilliant start to Year 3! Our class is creative, lively and enthusiastic. For Harvest Festival we decided to perform our own class rap! The children have worked really hard to think about what 'Harvest Festival' means to them. They wrote the lyrics themselves and had great fun performing. The whole school was able to watch our videos via a Teams assembly. If you watch all the clips in order you will be able to see the whole rap. The last clip is an outtake just for fun!

Imperial War Museum Duxford

Today we have visited Duxford, to find our more about our World War 2 topic and also to enjoy some of our 100 memorable events: we have learnt from an older person and we have explored a plane- even two planes! For some children this was their first ever time on an aeroplane- very special...

We hope you enjoy some of our photos of the day.

Autumn Games

Fun was had by all, playing Flap the bat in the hall. Much wafting caused the paper bats to fly above the ground! Playing autumn games is one of our 100 memorable events.

We listened to instructions to help us and learnt how instructions are written down.

Then we played apple bobbing in the autumn sun...

Barn Owls and Tawny Owls big sleepover!

On Friday 8th February, all the way through until Saturday 9th February, Barn Owl and Tawny Owl children had a giant sleepover, at school!

Having left our bags in Rabbits Class, we wrapped up warm and took our torches outside, to play hide and seek, sardines and a lighthouse game in the dark. Playing games in the dark is one of our 100 memorable events...

When we came in, we unpacked our things and made our beds ready for bedtime later, before settling down with our friends to play games on our beds.

Then time for hot chocolates (with all the trimmings) and a bedtime story before cleaning teeth and going to bed...

Before we knew it, it was the next morning! Everybody was packed up before bacon or jam butties for breakfast. Then it was time for more fun with our friends...

To get ready to go home, we carried all our kit back to Rabbits Class and, whilst waiting for our parents, did some yoga!

Everybody enjoyed our sleepover- children and staff...Everybody was happy and positive and resilient- all superstars at a big school sleepover...
