Time - how long is a minute?

We thought about time today and did some experiments to measure it. 

First of all we closed our eyes and tried to measure a minute, opening them once a minute had passed. Then we estimated how many times we could write our names out in a minute.

We also wrote out the first six months of the year and measured how long it took us. Then we repeated the exercise to see if we could beat our first time.

Lots of people beat their first score. The fastest person wrote them out in 13 seconds.

Now everyone should have an idea of how long it takes for a minute to pass. Have a go at home!
