EDP Poetry Competition 2014

Mrs Andrew talked to Class 3 today about this year's EDP poetry competition and everyone was very keen to enter - the theme is 'Strange Surprise' and the entries are due in on July 18th. The poem has to have no more than 40 lines.

Suggestions for the poem from the EDP were...

    A dream

          A birthday surprise

               An unexpected appearance

                    Finding something unusual whilst exploring

...but you can come up with your own unique ideas! 

Mrs Andrew advised everyone to keep their ideas to themselves (as it is a competition!) and also to think about producing something which will be interesting and well written. People who hand write their poems will probably have an advantage over those which have been typed out.
