Autumn Games

Fun was had by all, playing Flap the bat in the hall. Much wafting caused the paper bats to fly above the ground! Playing autumn games is one of our 100 memorable events.

We listened to instructions to help us and learnt how instructions are written down.

Then we played apple bobbing in the autumn sun...

Learning to play the ukulele

This was a very exciting day for us- the start of a term of weekly lessons, learning to play the ukulele. By the end of the session, we were playing the chord of C and using this to accompany a song!

Active Maths

We have been up and about, working out which numbers are represented by different apparatus. Working in pairs helps us to reason or justify our answers.

The Blitz

Our new Year 3 and 4 pupils have been making models of gas masks, then experiencing what it feels like when an air raid siren goes off and you have to find shelter and put on your gas mask...

Some people in the class have relatives who lived through the Second World War and have brought in items from their family to show the other children- first hand evidence, which is exciting for the children to see. Thank you...
