This morning during literacy we looked at an article:
Gigantic 'land art' tribute in Eye honours airmen of 490th Bomb Group.
We applied the five W's, which help us to understand writing:
Where: a field near Eye
Why: to commemorate 70 years of the end of the Second World War and the death of 184 US airmen who lost their lives while while serving at Eye Airfield during the war.
When: Friday 30th October 2015
Who: Stefan Fulcher and Carlo Roberts
What: the shape of a Flying Fortress B 17 bomber plane
and
How: ploughing a field - but how did they make the shape so clearly and evenly?
