This afternoon we made pictures of Mount Vesuvius with oil pastels, foil and tissue paper based on the illustrations from 'Escape from Pompeii' by Christina Balit. Afterwards we made chocolate rocks and watched an excerpt from 'The Railway Children' by E Nesbit which we studied as part of our project on the Victorians. What a fantastic day!
