The first scene we looked at was the Danes having a feast. The children discussed in groups how they were going to dramatise the story and then had the opportunity to act out their interpretation.
Then the children thought about the scene after Grendel had attacked. Two children were dead victims and the other two acted the parts of the king and a soldier....
Finally, the part of Beowulf was presented to the class and the actor had to convince us that they would be able to kill the monster!
