Tuesday November 11th 2014: Remembrance Day

This morning we walked to the War Memorial at Bressingham to remember service people who died in war. Today is particularly poignant as it is the centenary year of the start of World War I.


Representatives from the school laid crosses and wreaths at the memorial after we observed the two minutes silence.



After we returned to school some children shared special things they had brought in relating to Remembrance Day. These included photographs, a telegram and medals presented to relatives who served in the First and Second World Wars. The children talked to the class about their artefacts.














Afterwards the children wrote about Remembrance Day and what they thought about while they were at the War Memorial service.
