World Book Day

On World Book Day everyone heard favourite stories read by teachers, governors and parents. Today everyone dressed up in single colours to represent crayons from the book 'The Day the Crayons Quit' by Oliver Jeffers. Teachers and children read the book in assembly and each class was given a copy.

The story is a series of letters written by different coloured crayons to their owner, Duncan. They explain the things they are unhappy about.

Class 3 wrote letters from Duncan to the crayons apologising and explaining how he would improve things.

Here are some of the end results....

Lots of creative, colourful correspondence!
