At the moment Class 3 is learning all about Romans and someone from Class 4 brought in a replica helmet for us to look at.
As you can see, the helmet is very beautiful. It would have been worn by a Roman commander and has ornate rivets and flaps to protect the soldier during battles.
As the helmet is very heavy and valuable we didn't try wearing it but enjoyed looking at it closely.
